Does anybody know what this "manual" is all about?

The site doesn't indicate who publishes it.

The web site registry info produced the following info:

Hi Barry,

Sheri Dean is indeed the owner and author of that site and book. I don't think she is testing any longer, but she was a legitimate examiner in California...at least for a while. I met her when I lived there and she was on the board of CAPE for a while.

I haven't read the book, but I don't think its a countermeasure book, more a general 'how to prepare' for your test. Again, I haven't read it...maybe I'm just giving her the benefit of the doubt. I remember reading a list of the table of contents sometime in the past and it didn't seem to be about 'here is how to beat your test'.

The book of which you speak is an excellent "How to prepare for a polygraph test" booklet that one could hand to a potential examinee prior to a test. It tells the examinee to get a good night's sleep, relax and answer truthfully all questions on the test, follow instructions etc. It provides no information relative to countermeasures, nor does it divulge any testing techniques or discuss comparison questions or anything of the type. The book is only about 20 or so pages and I ordered one while President of the APA to see what it was all about. Unless it has changed since that time, its no problem.
